Leading staffing firm TeamLease Services awarded by EPFO for empowering the women workforce in India

Demonstrating its exceptional commitment to empowering women and fostering gender equality, TeamLease Services has been awarded with the noteworthy Certificate of Excellence by Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), Ministry of Labor and Employment. The awards acknowledges the company’s innovative e-nomination initiatives which are enabling the women workforce in India. This honor places TeamLease Services among India’s top 75 companies, reaffirming the company’s unwavering commitment to developing female talent, fostering diversity, and cultivating an inclusive work environment.

The recognition also attests to the company’s unwavering efforts to advance financial security, equal representation, and enhanced career opportunities for the female workforce. In an ever-changing corporate landscape where gender parity is a challenge, TeamLease stands out for its constant commitment to cultivating diversity and inclusivity. With a consistent 30% core female workforce participation since 2019, the General Staffing division of the company has about 235 women to 516 men. On the other hand, the Specialized Staffing vertical excels with 53% female employees overall, and 30% female leadership. In fact, gender parity at the leadership level for TeamLease and group companies stands stout as compared to industry ratios.

Sharing his views, Mr Kartik Narayan- CEO Staffing, TeamLease Services, said “At TeamLease, we believe that diverse teams foster greater creativity, innovation, and overall business success. Our commitment to gender parity has been unwavering, and this recognition from Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) demonstrates our commitment to creating an inclusive and progressive ecosystem. Our current female workforce ratio is 31.06%, which is 5.06% higher than the industry average of 26%. Since 2019, the gender ratio has consistently exceeded 30%, reflecting our unwavering pursuit of balanced and inclusive growth.”

Appreciating the efforts on e-nomination filing Shri P. Senthil Kumar, Regional PF Commissioner-I , Regional Office, Bengaluru (Central), “The company which mainly addresses entry level jobs employs around 30% women. By understanding the objective of social security schemes under EPF & MP Act, it ensures that its employees who are becoming EPF members first time are truly protected by filing their E-Nominations. It ensures prompt payment of due benefits and EPF accumulations to nominees of deceased members.”

In the journey of India’s aspiration to become a $5 trillion economy, addressing gender disparities is extremely critical. According to industry estimates, the Indian workforce currently has only 40 million women to 360 million men and the pay parity is unbalanced as well. The industry at large, has been taking cohesive steps to foster equitable opportunities, and representation of women in workforce expected to grow stronger. As TeamLease Services continues to make ground-breaking strides towards gender equality, the EPFO’s Certificate of Excellence serves as a testament to its accomplishments and a catalyst for even greater inclusivity.
