UrFU Scientists Honored with Prestigious State Awards

On September 19, the Governor of the Sverdlovsk region Evgeny Kuivashev presented outstanding people of the Urals with state awards of the Russian Federation, awards of the President of the Russian Federation, awards of federal executive authorities of Russia and awards of the Sverdlovsk region. Among the awardees are scientists, doctors, teachers, workers in the industrial and transportation fields of work, and statesmen.

Thus, the honorary title “Honored Worker of Higher Education of the Russian Federation” was awarded to Vladimir Vaskovskiy, Head of the Department of Magnetism and Magnetic Nanomaterials of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of UrFU. In addition, the insignia of the Sverdlovsk region “For Merit to the Sverdlovsk region” of the first degree was awarded to Sergey Novakovskiy, Professor of the Department of Physical Education of the Institute of Physical Education, Sports and Youth Policy of UrFU.
