President of Alexandria University Takes a Close Look at Educational Process Progress on First Day of New Academic Yea
Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, on the morning of Saturday the 30th of September 2023, inspected the progress of studies in the university’s faculties and institutes on the first day of the new academic year. The tour began with the Medical Complex, followed by the Humanities Complex. He was accompanied during the tour by Dr. Saeed Allam, Acting Vice President of the University for Environmental Development Affairs and Community Service, and Dr. Ali Abdelmohsen, the Acting Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, as well as deans, vice-deans and secretaries of the various faculties.
During the tour, the University President congratulated the faculty members, students and workers, wishing all its employees success and prosperity during the new academic year. He also inspected the annual bazaar of Alexandria University, which begins tomorrow and is held in cooperation with “Ehna El-Khair” (We are the good) Foundation, and includes a collection of clothing, leather goods, study supplies, and office tools to serve students and workers. The fair that is organized at the university campus will last for two weeks.
Dr. Konsowa pointed out that the university receives about 190,000 students this year in various faculties and academic specializations, and the faculties during the past two weeks have organized for their fresh students introductory meetings that include a comprehensive introduction to the faculties’ specializations and the various university procedures and services that the university provides to students. He pointed out that Alexandria University has harnessed all its capabilities and energy in terms of equipment, infrastructure, buildings and services to receive students, announcing the launch of the university’s new strategy that is consistent with Egypt’s national development strategy launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for Egypt’s Vision 2030 by concluding partnerships with major international universities to raise the competitiveness of Alexandria University students. Konsowa stressed that this year is the year of modernization of the laboratories for the bachelor’s level at the university, as laboratories at the faculties of the medical and scientific sectors as well as language and computer laboratories for the humanities sector will be updated, pointing out that the university’s new strategy requires everyone’s contribution to achieving it to continue progress in international classifications.
