Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, congratulated the university students who won the 13th Universities Youth Week competitions, which was held at Helwan University from the 8th until the 14th of September, with the participation of 3500 male and female students from 44 public, private and national universities. The competition was held under the slogan “The New Republic: Homeland Dream.”
Alexandria University students won *first place and the general shield in sports activity*, winning 7 gold, 5 silver, and 4 bronze medals, in the volleyball, table tennis, and athletics competitions, and *first place and the general shield in social activity*, winning 7 gold medals, a silver medal in the chess competitions for male and female students, teams and individuals, and the ideal student competition. They also won the *first place and first level in general in all scouts activities and public service* *, third place in artistic competition,* *first places in musical performance, choir team, and music band at the level of the participating universities* with 2 gold medals, 4 silver, and 2 bronze, *. Alexandria University Students also won the third place in cultural activity* with 2 gold medals and 1 bronze medal in the fields of Arabic calligraphy, television correspondence, and poetry, *and third place in the information league competition in scientific activity*.
Dr. Konsowa stressed that the university is keen to encourage its students to participate in various student events and activities to create their integrated personality, develop their skills, stimulate their creative abilities, and establish noble human principles and values in their souls.
