Mobius Foundation and Lotus Petal Foundation’s 100 School Programme to focus on cause of girl child education

Delhi : The Delhi-based Mobius Foundation and Gurgaon-based Lotus Petal Foundation (LPF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) under LPF’s flagship digital-learning programme, “VIDYA SAHYOG,” marking a significant step forward for the cause of girl child education. The ‘Vidya Sahyog Programme’ aims to improve educational standards, empower students, and create a positive learning environment in the aspirational districts of Chitrakoot (Uttar Pradesh), Satna (Madhya Pradesh), and Sheopur (Madhya Pradesh) through these coordinated efforts.

The MOU was recently signed in the presence of Mr. Pradip Burman, Chairman, Mobius Foundation, Mr. Praveen Garg, President & Ms. Saloni Bhardwaj, Co-Founder and CTO, Mr. Neeraj Mittal, AVP, Vidya Sahyog, from Lotus Petal foundation.

Through their partnership, these two prestigious foundations hope to remove obstacles to girls’ education and advance gender equality in the classroom. This partnership will concentrate on improving access to high-quality education for underprivileged girls through the “100 School Programme” under the auspices of Vidya Sahyog, programme committed to fostering young minds.

The MOU outlines plans for enhancing IT infrastructure and providing educators with cutting-edge teaching strategies and resources to raise academic standards. Additionally, the alliance wants to interact with neighbourhood groups to promote parental involvement and increase awareness of the value of educating girls.

“By utilising technology, the alliance will give marginalised populations access to digital learning resources, closing the digital divide. The growth of Chitrakoot (Uttar Pradesh), Satna (Madhya Pradesh), and Sheopur (Madhya Pradesh) will be significantly influenced by our flagship digital learning module, ‘Vidya Sahyog Programme’.  It consists of three important parts that work together to improve the educational ecosystem in areas like FLN classes (Fundamental Learning & Numeracy), which are based on a baseline assessment that has already been completed, IT infrastructure, and Ground Level Resources, where LPF will spread awareness among kids and parents through workshops and awareness drives for regular attendance, importance of education, mentorship, and coaching. We firmly believe that education is the cornerstone of progress and empowerment. We are thrilled to support the education and empowerment of girls through our cooperation with the Mobius Foundation, which will ultimately result in a better and more fair future.” said Kushal Chakraborty, Founder of the Lotus Petal Foundation.

“The engagement with the Lotus Petal Foundation is in line with our aim to promote good change through education. We are eager to pool our resources and knowledge to significantly influence the education of girls.” according to Mr Pradip Burman, Chairman of the Mobius Foundation.

One of four reputable residential schools in the region that focuses primarily on the education-based empowerment of girls is Kasturba Gandhi Bal Vidyalaya, which is situated in Chitrakoot. These schools are a part of the pilot project within the Mobius Foundation’s bigger mission to improve education in 100 schools, with a total beneficiary count of 780 pupils. If this initial pilot project is successful, it will be possible to expand it in the future to include more schools.

This collaboration represents the organization’s common dedication to promoting the rights and educational opportunities for girls. It demonstrates their commitment to removing obstacles and developing a society in which every girl has the opportunity to realize her full potential.
