Webinar held on higher education prospects abroad

 

ALIGARH : Sir Ross Masood Hall, Aligarh Muslim University organized a webinar on “Securing Admission and Funding for Graduate School Abroad” to provide the resident students with information regarding opportunities for higher education in other countries and how to prepare for it.

Mr Seerin Ahmad, a doctoral student at TAMUK, USA and Mr. Rashid Ahmed Khan, a doctoral student at the University of Sheffield, UK virtually spoke to the students and gave them tips for profile building highlighting research skills and guided them on how to select and approach the senior professors at foreign universities. They also discussed the selection and application process at different institutions, along with the VISA and immigration rules, and underlined the need and importance of clearing IELTS/TOEFL, for getting financial support.

Earlier, welcoming the guest speakers, Prof. Mohammad Asif, Provost of the Hall, urged the students to actively participate in the interactive session to clear their doubts regarding prospects for higher education abroad.

Engineer Abdul Faheem, the Residential Warden and Mr. Mohammad Shahwar Khan, another warden, moderated the programme.
