Women entrepreneurs showcase their talents at FICCI FLO Bazaar 2023
Ganesh Joshi & Mohena Kumari inaugurate FLO Bazaar
Dehradun : The FICCI Ladies Organisation inaugurated the seventh edition of the FLO Bazaar today, marking the beginning of a two-day fashion and lifestyle extravaganza. The event was graced by State Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi and Princess of Rewa Mohena Kumari Singh, who jointly inaugurated the event at Hotel Aketa, Dehradun.
The program commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony by the Chief Guests, followed by a mesmerizing Ganesh Vandana performance by students from Doon Heritage School.
State Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi extended his Navratri wishes to all attendees and emphasized the importance of women’s empowerment in today’s world. He highlighted the remarkable achievements of women in various fields, citing examples of women serving as fighter pilots and soldiers in the army.
Princess Mohena Kumari Singh praised the efforts of FLO in empowering women and uplifting their entrepreneurial spirits. She added, “I was truly touched by the grace and dedication of the students who performed the Ganesh Vandana. I applaud all the FLO members for coming together and working towards such a great cause. It’s an honor for me to be a part of this bazaar and spend time with these remarkable women entrepreneurs.”
Dr. Anuradha Malla, Chairperson of FLO Uttarakhand, shared her enthusiasm for the annual FLO Bazaar and said, “FLO Bazaar is a celebration of food, art, culture, and shopping. The event will run until October 16th at Hotel Aketa on Rajpur Road. This year’s FLO Bazaar features a diverse array of exhibitors from across the country, showcasing a wide range of products and artistic creations.”

The first day of the FLO Bazaar featured a storytelling session for children by Anubha and a live musical performance by the Womeniya band, which received high praise from all attendees.
Dr. Anuradha Malla emphasized the FLO Bazaar’s core objective of empowering women entrepreneurs in the state. She added, “FLO aims to encourage and facilitate women in showcasing their talents, skills, experiences, and energies across various sectors of the economy, promoting truly inclusive economic growth. FLO also proudly sponsors stalls for NGOs and SHGs to support the underprivileged.”
Also present at the event were Past Chairpersons of the FLO UK chapter, Kiran Bhatt Todaria, Komal Batra, and Neha Sharma, Senior Vice Chairperson Charu Chauhan, and FLO Bazaar coordinators Harpreet Marwah, Sunita Vatsalya, Gauri Suri, and Nisha Thakur, along with members of the FLO Uttarakhand chapter.
