The Indian Navy, Navy Welfare & Wellness Association (NWWA) and Medhavi Skills University Sign a Historic MoU for providing Higher Education pathways and Skill Development programme for the Indian Navy fraternity
New Delhi – Today, Medhavi Skills University (MSU), Sikkim takes a pivotal step forward by signing a tri-partite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Navy and NWWA (Navy Welfare & Wellness Association). This historic moment serves as a testament to MSU’s resolute commitment to revolutionize India through skill-integrated, practical education and unwavering support for our nation’s guardians and their families.
The MoU pioneers an enduring collaboration between MSU and the Indian Navy and supported by NWWA to establish unique educational and Skilling opportunities for the wards of serving, deceased, and retired Navy personnel. In a tribute to their immense sacrifices and service, MSU has fashioned this initiative with generous scholarships and preferential seat allocations tailored to the needs of the Indian Navy personnel dependents.
The tri-partite MoU was signed by Mrs Kala Hari Kumar, President NWWA, Commodore G Rambabu, Cmde (Naval Education) and Mr. Pravesh Dudani, Founder & Chancellor, MSU at the Kota House, New Delhi in presence of Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, Chief of Personnel, Commodore Satish Shenai, Commanding Officer, INS India and NWWA members along with Mr. Kuldip Sarma, Pro-Chancellor, MSU and Air Vice Marshal D. K Awasthi (Retd) (Board Member, MSU).
As a part of this MoU, MSU would provide 50% concession in tuition fee towards the spouses of Indian Navy personnel. The University would also provide 10% concession in hostel accommodation fees, over and above the concessions offered by the University based on scores obtained in the national-level entrance examinations conducted by the government.
Mr. Pravesh Dudani, Founder & Chancellor, Medhavi Skills University expressed, “Our objective extends beyond merely providing educational opportunities for the Defence Forces and their families. Through our network of 400+ Industry partners in India and abroad, we will customise unique job-linked programmes which will provide practical Industry-relevant learning along with assured career progression and growth. As we move forward, we intend to work closely with defence institutions to tailor training programs, research projects, and educational opportunities to their specific needs.”
