The University of Western Australia launches the Global MBA program and offers Indian students a pathway to go global
Mumbai : In recent times, professionals who bring in a global thought process and yet understand the local nuances of different countries are the need of the hour. Catering to this demand, the University of Western Australia (UWA), a world-top-100 university (QS World University Rankings, 2023), ranked No. 3 Business School in Australia (The Australian Financial Review, 2022) and No. 1 University in Western Australia (QS World University Rankings, 2022), has announced the launch of the Global MBA program. This program degree is recognised by World Education Services (WES) and will allow participants to build global careers.
The participants will receive a Professional Certificate in Advanced Business Management from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode, ranked 3rd in the Ministry of Education’s National Institute Ranking Framework 2023: Management, after the first year of the program, followed by a Master’s in Business Administration (Global) from UWA upon successful completion of the program. The program provides flexibility and serves as an affordable option for professionals looking to pursue a global MBA degree online from one of the top 1% of business schools worldwide.
In this ‘VUCA’ (volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous) world, managing complexities as a skill is paramount, and, therefore, the value of skilled MBA graduates will always be a core business need. Keeping the global disruptions in mind, pursuing the UWA Global MBA program will add a layer of a global perspective for the participants, thereby enabling them to get a glimpse of the international business terrain and policies. This program offers learners a chance to dive into policies, working cultures and overall behavioural imperatives.
This 24-month Global MBA program is designed for mid- to senior-level working professionals who wish to upskill in the rapidly changing global business landscape and become ideal prospects for hiring brands, especially those with international operations. It is also designed for professionals who want to take the next step towards their global careers. This executive MBA program is created to help rebuild bridges towards a globalised post-pandemic world and to provide learners with networking opportunities and global exposure while expanding their knowledge beyond a regional focus. This WES-validated MBA degree from UWA will give participants an extra edge if they choose to apply for global opportunities or an Australia PR visa.
Taught by leading professors at IIM Kozhikode and UWA, this online program offers a blend of experience and knowledge, providing students with international exposure. The program curriculum is designed to meet the demands of the business world and addresses contemporary and strategic issues faced by today’s leaders. It includes real-world case studies, which enable learners to make important business decisions in real-life scenarios and become the right fit for global roles. One of the key highlights of the program is an international community that will help foster innovation, global learning and collaboration beyond borders.
Commenting on the launch of the program, Dr Paul Crompton, Senior Lecturer, UWA Business School, UWA, said, ‘Our cutting-edge curriculum addresses contemporary strategic issues facing today’s leaders, and our approach to knowledge is based on impactful research and real-world industry learning. This rigorous combination empowers students with a huge advantage: first-hand experience in the rapidly changing global business world. So, when they graduate, they hit the ground running.’
The program is set to begin on 21 December 2023, with a fee of INR 5,62,000 + GST. On successful completion of the program, the participants will receive alumni status from UWA and access to exclusive UWA alumni events and networking opportunities.
