A two-day workshop on “E-content development” concludes 

 

Aligarh : A two-day workshop on “E-content development” organized by the Faculty of Unani Medicine in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science, AMU concluded on October 31. The workshop, aimed at providing hands-on training to 80 participants, including faculty members and research scholars, proved to be a resounding success.

Prof. Asim Zafar, Chairman of the Department of Computer Science, the chief guest, lauded the workshop’s theme and the organizing team’s efforts. Dr. Ammar Ibne Anwar proposed the vote of thanks.

The inaugural function was attended by Dr. Farooq Ahmad Dar, Chairman of the Department of Manafeul Aza and Organizing Secretary of the Workshop, who outlined the workshop’s objectives. Prof. Ubaidullah Khan, Dean of the Faculty of Unani Medicine, stressed the importance of developing E-content and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). Prof. B.D. Khan, Principal of Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College, emphasized the need for essential infrastructure to support E-content development.

Throughout the workshop, participants received training on various E-content development topics, including MOOCs, SWAYAM, Advanced PPT tools, OBS, and VSDC software. Prof. Asim Zafar discussed funding avenues and the importance of Open Educational Resources (OERs) and online platforms like SWAYAM, EdX, and Coursera.

Dr. Yusuf Ansari demonstrated advanced PPT tools and animation techniques. Dr. Faisal Anwer provided hands-on training on OBS, VSDC, and video editing tools.

Dr. M. Nadeem Khan and Dr. Hafiz Iqtidar Ahmad served as the workshop coordinators. The event provided valuable insights into the latest trends and technologies in E-content development, reaffirming the commitment of the Faculty of Unani Medicine to organizing such workshops in the future, ensuring faculty members and research scholars stay current with their field’s developments.
