Amity Mumbai Students Experience Northern Thrills and Gain Academic Insights
Students from the Amity Institute of Travel and Tourism at Amity University, Mumbai recently embarked on a remarkable study tour to Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, where they visited prestigious institutions as part of an exchange program facilitated by the Ministry of Tourism.
The students, belonging to the Yuva Tourism Club (YTC), were not only exposed to the natural beauty of Himachal Pradesh and the vibrant culture of Punjab but also had the opportunity to delve into the tourism and adventure sports industry.
During their visit to Himachal Pradesh, the students paid a visit to the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (ABVIMAS) in Manali, one of India’s leading mountaineering and adventure sports institutes. Mr. Bhuvneshwar Dass, a seasoned Mountaineering Instructor, provided the students with an insightful briefing on mountaineering instruments and led them on a guided tour of the campus. The students took advantage of this unique opportunity to inquire about career prospects in mountaineering and explore the various courses offered by the institute.
In a further display of educational exchange, members of the YTC, AUM were warmly hosted by the Yuva Tourism Club at Guru Nanak Dev University in Amritsar. The students engaged in an enriching cultural exchange program, which included an introduction to the heritage city of Amritsar and its prominent tourism destinations, offered by the faculty members.
This meeting of two prestigious institutions not only provided students with a unique opportunity to broaden their horizons but also opened the door for future academic collaborations.
