“Introduction to Research Practices” Workshop Concludes
Aligarh : The Department of Computer Science at Aligarh Muslim University recently concluded a four-day workshop, titled “Introduction to Research Practices,” from November 18th to 21st. The event brought together 27 participants keen on expanding their knowledge of research practices in the field of computer science. A workshop was an exercise committed to nurturing the next generation of scientists and innovators.
The workshop, inaugurated by Prof. Aasim Zafar, Chairperson of the Department of Computer Science, commenced with a session on the basics of research practices and Blockchain Technology by Dr. Faraz Masood. Over the subsequent days, the participants delved into diverse topics, including Security Testing, Cloud Computing Security, Cryptography, Quantum Computing, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, DevOps in Cloud, Literature Review Process, and Parallel Computing.
The event featured experts such as Miss Fatima Ehsan, Mr. Talha Umar, Mr. Mohammad Luqman, Mr. Shamikh Iqbal, Mr. Monir Yahya Ali Salmony, and Ms. Khushnaseeb Roshan, who provided insights and practical knowledge on contemporary challenges and advancements in their respective fields.
The workshop’s final day showcased a broad spectrum of topics and concluded with a Quiz Competition, won by Mr. Ahwar Khan from M.Sc. in Cyber Security & Digital Forensics. The closing ceremony, chaired by Prof. Aasim Zafar, featured a prize distribution segment led by Prof. Mohammad Ubaidullah Bokhari.
