EDII signs MoU with Higher Education Department, Govt. of Gujarat, for the implementation of the ‘Student Entrepreneurship Policy’
Ahmedabad : The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Higher Education Department, Govt. of Gujarat for effective implementation of ‘Student Entrepreneurship Policy’.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Shri Rushikesh Patel, Cabinet Minister, Health & Family Welfare & Medical Education, Higher and Technical Education, Govt. of Gujarat; Shri Mukesh Kumar, Principal Secretary (Higher and Technical Education) Department, Govt. of Gujarat; Shri Parimal Pandya, Director of Higher Education, Govt. of Gujarat and Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General, EDII.
The policy will provide students a platform to present their innovative ideas and skills and further motivate them to become future entrepreneurs
Student Entrepreneurship Policy, envisioned by the Government of Gujarat, aims at promoting and developing entrepreneurship along with academics among students studying in Government and Non-Government art, science, commerce, B.ED, law colleges, and Gramya Vidyapeeth.
EDII will implement the policy through preparing a cadre of resource persons (faculty mentor to impart entrepreneurship related training), conducting training programmes and workshops for students, to train them to set up their own enterprises.
