Singapore Management University Provost leads delegation to Peking University
Peking University : Recently, Singapore Management University (SMU) Provost Timothy Clark and Vice President Sun Sun Lim led a delegation to visit Peking University (PKU). Jiang Guohua, vice council chair of PKU, welcomed the guests at Linhuxuan.
After extending a warm welcome to the SMU delegation, Jiang introduced Peking University’s work in promoting international exchanges, sustainable development, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Jiang also invited SMU to engage in more academic exchanges with PKU faculties and scholars.
On behalf of SMU, Clark thanked Peking University for its hospitality and shared SMU’s achievements in green finance, entrepreneurial education, and other fields in recent years. Clark also highlighted that SMU was willing to enhance communication and conduct more mutual visits with PKU.
The meeting was also attended by Associate Dean of the PKU College of Urban and Environmental Studies Wang Zhiheng, Deputy Director of the PKU Office of Science and Technology Development Zheng Ruqing, and Deputy Director of the PKU Office of International Relations Zhou Manli, who joined the discussions and exchanged views with the SMU delegation.
After the meeting, the SMU delegation went on to visit the Peking University Global College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre and held a seminar with the heads of the PKU Geeklab and Entrepreneur’s Training Camp, as well as representatives from the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the University’s Alumni Association.
