Career Guidance, Scholarship Awareness, Motivation & Study Skills Workshop Commences

 

Aligarh : A two-day workshop aiming to equip students with essential tools for success commenced today at S.T.S. School, AMU. Organized in collaboration with LIT, Cigma, and E&E Pvt. Ltd. under the Directorate of School Education, the event focuses on providing guidance to Class-X and XII students on the myriad career and scholarship options available in today’s landscape.

Chief Guest Prof Asfar Ali Khan, Director of Directorate of School Education, lauded the initiative and underscored the significance of motivation as the cornerstone of success. Encouraging a love for reading and the development of various quotients, he urged students to persevere on their journey towards achieving their goals.

Mr. Faisal Nafis, the Principal of STS, delivered the welcome address, emphasizing the workshop’s crucial role in motivating students and fostering effective study skills. He expressed appreciation for the presence of Chief Guest Prof Asfar Ali Khan and resource persons Mr. Ameen-E-Mudassar and Mrs. Fawzia Tarannum.

Initiated by Mr. Ameen-E-Mudassar, the workshop delved into the essence of real motivation, stressing the importance of a burning desire to achieve goals. Through multimedia presentations, moral stories, and incentives, students were encouraged to make informed decisions about their careers, steering clear of peer pressure and misinformation.

Students from S.T.S. School, Syed Hamid Senior Secondary School, and RMPS AMU City School participated in the workshop, posing questions and sharing their views. The subsequent phases of the workshop will extend its focus to parents and teachers.

The workshop’s management team, including Mr. Mohd Tariq (Vice-Principal), Mrs. Samina Yusuf Khan (Incharge Primary Section), and Ms. Nasreen Fatima (Cultural Coordinator), along with Mr. Mohammad Mansoor Khan, Mr. Farhan Habib, Mr. Mohammad Asim, Mr. Mohd Adnan Khan, and Mr. Mudassir Ali Rizvi, ensured its smooth conduction.
