Apeejay Stya University (ASU), India’s 1st Industry-Centric Technology & Liberal Arts University focused on Research & Innovation, proudly announces yet another triumph as one of its talented students, Vedant Chakraborty, secures the second prize at the National Short Film Festival, 2023, organized by BVICAM, New Delhi on December 2.
ASU, recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and holding a coveted A grade accreditation from NAAC, has consistently fostered an environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and excellence. Established by the Apeejay Stya Education Foundation, ASU stands as a global seat of learning committed to imparting value-based education.
Vedant Chakraborty, a 7th-semester student pursuing B.Design in Animation and Multimedia, showcased his artistic prowess with his silent film, “Anonymous Flower.” Out of 52 initial submissions, only 9 were selected for screening, and Vedant’s film emerged as one of the three awarded at the festival. The film delicately portrays the value of human relationships beyond utility.
Expressing his gratitude, Vedant acknowledges the pivotal role Apeejay Stya University played in honing his visual storytelling skills. “I am grateful to Apeejay Stya University for teaching me the art of visual storytelling. Without the continuous support of my teachers and the institute, I would have never achieved this recognition,” says Vedant.
The ceremony, where Vedant received the well-deserved accolade, was captured in photographs attached to this release, showcasing the proud moment for both Vedant and Apeejay Stya University.
ASU remains dedicated to nurturing talents that redefine boundaries, bridging the gap between academia and industry. The university’s commitment to excellence is further solidified through achievements like Vedant Chakraborty’s success at the National Short Film Festival.
