“When AI and Sustainability come together, the world expands”
Bengaluru: JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), one of the top-ranked private universities in India, hosts their 2nd Two-Day International Conference on, “Artificial Intelligence towards Fostering Sustainable Development in Business.” The conference serves as a foundation for advancing sustainable development in the business sector using AI as the medium and accentuating meaningful discussions, knowledge exchange, and collaborative initiatives.
Dr. Dinesh Nilkant, Director of the Center for Management Studies, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) in his welcoming address gave different abbreviations for AI, like, ‘Always Intelligent,’ ‘Ahead of I,’ ‘AI Always teaches you.’
In the inaugural address, Dr. Raj Singh, Vice Chancellor of JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), factualizes that, “When two disciplines (AI & Sustainability), so different come together the world expands.”
The chief guest Anitha Scaria George, Vice President India COE and Country Leader at Celonis, NASSCOM GCC Regional Council Karnataka (Ex Oracle, Ex ITC) emphasizes, “What we should leave behind is our footprints and not carbon emissions, we need not go to the Mars, we just need to make Earth a better place.” Further, she added, “Chat GPT won’t take jobs as it takes all the information from Wikipedia which is a human creation”
The keynote speaker Joseph Eapen, Head-Product Management and Technology, Exdion, emphasizes that, “By 2029, AI is going to take over us, but there is nothing to fear, where AI can be assistance for us.”
The international conference received more than 120 research papers. The research presentations were conducted in a hybrid mode with 18 tracks, presented by more than 100 research scholars from different countries.
Day Two (9th December, 2023) of the conference will witness the valedictory function with the presence of Tanusree De, Managing Director, Lead – Trustworthy AI Center of Excellence at Accenture, Cloud First Advanced Technology Centers in India (ATCI).
