Prof. Salahuddin elected as President of National Association of Geographers
Aligarh : A distinguished geographer Prof. Salahuddin Qureshi, a former Chairman of the Department of Geography at AMU, has been elected as the President of the National Association of Geographers, India. This decision was announced at 45th Indian Geography Congress in Pune, where Professor Qureshi’s expertise and contributions were acknowledged by his peers.
Having actively participated in the Congress since its inception in 1980 at Punjab University, Chandigarh, Prof. Qureshi has experience, spanning 43 years of teaching at Bombay University and at AMU. His areas of specialization include Urban Climate Change, Satellite Remote Sensing, and the History of Geographical Thought.
The National Association, as the apex body of Indian Geographers, looks forward to benefiting from Professor Qureshi’s leadership in advancing the field.
