Loughborough University Strengthens Partnership with Hudl for Enhanced Sports Performance Analysis
Loughborough University has reaffirmed its status as a centre of excellence for performance analysis by extending its partnership with Hudl for another three years.
Hudl, one of the world’s leading performance analysis software companies, was first introduced to the University’s performance sports programme in 2017 and has continued to add immeasurable value to Loughborough’s elite-level sport offer.
The new agreement will see the continuation of the latest technology embedded across all sport performance programmes, including rugby, football, hockey, and the Lightning franchises.
The partnership will continue to bring tangible benefits to both coaching teams and Loughborough’s student population who will gain valuable first-hand experience of using the latest and very best industry standard performance analysis software.
Richard Wheater, Director of Sport, Loughborough University said: “This far-reaching agreement enables us to continue to be at the very forefront of athletic development by collectively creating further technological insight in our world-leading multi-sport environment.
“Hudl’s integration as part of our applied learning for our students also ensures that the next generation of leading performance analysists are created right here on campus.”
Rob Thirby, Hudl’s Regional Sales Director, added: “We’re excited to strengthen Hudl’s partnership with Loughborough University, emphasising our dedication to advancing athletic development and empowering the next generation of performance analysts.
“By giving Loughborough’s coaches and students access to our best-in-class solutions and providing an insider’s perspective, we aim to enhance their understanding of performance and provide hands-on experience for their future roles.”
The partnership will also see Hudl host multiple major conferences on Loughborough University’s campus, bringing together leaders in Performance Analysis from across a broad range of sports.
The extended working relationship will also be key to the University’s School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences as its Applied Sport Performance Analysis MSc continues to flourish.
Delivered by applied practitioners and world-renowned research active academics, many Loughborough graduates have progressed to secure performance analysis placements and full-time jobs at elite sport clubs and organisations.
