Ural Federal University Students Lead Excursions at Russia Exhibition at VDNKh

17 students of the Department of Social and Cultural Service and Tourism of the Ural Federal University will be giving tours of the International Exhibition Forum “Russia” at the VDNKh to numerous guests from February 10 to 20. They have become participants in the All-Russian competition of tour guides “Guides of Meanings” within the framework of the project “More than a Journey”.

“It is always hard to learn something new. I am very grateful to the organizers of the exhibition. Despite my limited experience as a tour guide, I managed to find an individual approach to each person. Groups of children with eager eyes only inspire me to continue my work,” said second-year student Ivan Barannikov.

The students, like all participants, went through a selection process that included writing an essay and demonstrating their skills in a video tour. Once selected, the students were required to complete 36 academic hours of training.
