UrFU and Ural Region Seek Partnership Opportunities with University of Dubai
The Ural Federal University is interested in exploring potential collaboration opportunities with the University of Dubai. Recently, a delegation from UrFU, including Victor Koksharov, Rector of the Ural Federal University, Sergey Tushin, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Elvira Symanyuk, Director of the Ural Institute of Humanities, Dmitry Chernoukhov, Deputy Director of the Ural Institute of Humanities, and Ilya Obabkov, Director of the Engineering School of Information Technologies, Telecommunications, and Control Systems, visited the University of Dubai.
The proposal for collaboration between the UrFU Institute of Humanities and the University of Dubai comprises several initiatives, such as online open lectures in humanities delivered by renowned experts from both institutions, the establishment of a network Bachelor’s degree program, a double-degree Bachelor’s program in Regional Studies, and a joint educational program in International Law. The two institutions will also create a joint Master’s degree program in Cognitive Neuroscience and Foreign Languages and Cultures in the Global World. The collaboration will also include student exchange, research internships, joint projects, scientific publications, and participation in international scientific events. Furthermore, the scientific cooperation will involve joint research on the topic of “Human Well-being in the Conditions of Digital Transformation”.
The UrFU Graduate School of Economics and Management and the University of Dubai have agreed to collaborate on joint research in ESG digital data management, sustainability in business, digital finance, and digital transformation of business. The collaboration will also include academic mobility and double degrees for the Bachelor’s program in International Economics & Business (EFMD Accredited) and the Master’s program in International Management. It also includes joint participation in scientific events – Research conferences and workshops, ESGD-hackathon (Autumn 2024), short-term programs – and co-supervision, research and publications, and joint enrolment.
Possible areas of collaboration with the Engineering School of Information Technologies, Telecommunications, and Control Systems could involve the creation of joint Master’s degree programs and exchanging scientific materials and students. Furthermore, it is anticipated that Emirati students will participate in the English-language Master’s program in Practical Artificial Intelligence.
Specialists from the United Arab Emirates have been cordially invited to visit the Sverdlovsk region.
