USP Welcomes Over 10,000 New Students Through Integration Activities This Monday
Next Monday, February 26th, USP will receive 11,147 new students who entered through four forms of admission: the Fuvest entrance exam and the Enem USP selection process – with 50% of the places reserved for each course. graduation for candidates graduating from public schools – in addition to Provão Paulista and those classified in knowledge olympiads.
They will have a full week of social, sporting and cultural activities on all campuses, meetings with students and families, presentation of courses and the different areas of the University that will mark the beginning of the academic year. The teaching units’ programming will also include blood and hair donation campaigns, medication donations and other social actions. The objective is to seek integration between freshmen and seniors, in addition to offering new students tips and information about university life.
USP’s Dean of Undergraduate Studies, Aluisio Augusto Cotrim Segurado, hopes that new students will take advantage of everything that USP offers:

The new students will be welcomed by the “Living at USP is better than dreaming” campaign, which will be on posters, totems, banners and banners spread across the campuses. Created by students from the Advertising course at the School of Communications and Arts (ECA) at USP, under the coordination of professor Heliodoro Teixeira Filho, known as Dorinho, the campaign seeks to send messages to new students to feel welcomed, to transmit the values cultivated by the University (humanism, excellence, universalism and solidarity) and also to publicize Dial-Trote. Hazing has been prohibited at USP since 1999 and the number 0800-012-1090 is available from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 9 pm, for freshmen who feel they are victims of aggression or embarrassment, inside or outside the University. It is also possible to report via email at [email protected] and via the app available on Google Play and the APP Store .
In addition to the campaign materials, incoming students will receive a kit that includes personalized durable mugs for use in the university environment and a personalized University notebook. The mug initiative was promoted by the Dean of Undergraduate Studies in partnership with the Superintendence of Environmental Management and its USP Recicla Program, with the aim of adopting sustainable standards and promoting environmental education in USP’s activities. The notebook will be offered by the Dean of Inclusion and Belonging (PRIP).
