Prof Farhan Fazli Delivers Talk on ‘Conserving built heritage’
Aligarh : Dr Mohammad Farhan Fazli, Professor in the Department of Architecture, Convener, Heritage Cell, and Coordinator, Centre of Excellence in Islamic Architecture, Aligarh Muslim University delivered an expert talk on Conserving Built Heritage, at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
Prof. Fazli emphasized the pivotal role heritage plays in defining the identity of cities and countries. Citing as a shining example of AMU with over 70 heritage buildings and sites within its campus, he emphasized to restore the glory of past and pass on to the future generations. He further highlighted AMU’s commitment to preserving its cultural and architectural legacy, mentioning ongoing restoration projects and the university administration’s keen interest in heritage conservation in the campus.
The event, organized by the Department of Architecture, Guru Nanak Dev University, garnered attention globally, showcasing AMU’s dedication to heritage conservation efforts and highlighting the university’s leadership in the field.
