Ural Federal University Enhances Personnel Training Quality in Nature Management and Environmental Protection

Ural Federal University signed a cooperation agreement with the Interregional Department of the Federal Supervisory Natural Resources Management Service (Rosprirodnadzor). The document was signed by Victor Koksharov, Rector of UrFU, and Roman Tuzhikov, Head of the Ural Interregional Department of the Federal Supervisory Natural Resources Management Service.

The main objectives of cooperation are joint training of personnel whose activities are aimed at preserving a favorable environment and ensuring environmental safety. The parties agreed to implement joint programs and projects in the field of environmental protection, as well as to carry out educational activities aimed at building a culture of environmental behavior as a factor in the environmental policy of the state.

In addition, it is planned to include the results of the prize “Ecology is Everyone’s Business” in the list of individual achievements to be taken into account during admission to the university through the accrual of additional points to applicants.

“We are interested in ensuring that our students receive the highest quality knowledge and practical skills in the field of Nature Management and Environmental Protection. We count on the fact that we will use the opportunities of project-based learning, when students fulfill the tasks of the partner university, implement projects relevant to the university and achieve the desired result. Lectures from representatives of Rosprirodnadzor with emphasis on key trends in this field, opportunities for internships and subsequent employment will be useful. I am sure that there is great potential in the field of joint scientific research as well: our scientists have extensive experience in this area,” says Victor Koksharov.
