JK Lakshmipat University and Super 30 Founder Anand Kumar Launch ‘Super 10 Scholar’ Initiative
Jaipur : JK Lakshmipat University (JKLU), an initiative of J.K. Organisation, hosted an insightful ‘Meet the Master Mentor’ event featuring celebrated educator and Padma Shree awardee Anand Kumar, known for his Super 30 programme. Held on April 6th, 2024, in Kota, the event witnessed an enthusiastic gathering of over 600 aspiring engineering students, alongside parents and teachers, all eagerly seeking insights from one of India’s most revered mentors.
Mr. Kumar was joined by his former students, Mr. DB Singh and Mr. Amarnath Anand, both pivotal figures from Anand Kumar’s Super 30 initiative. Their presence infused the occasion with inspiration as they shared their transformative journeys with Mr. Kumar, motivating the audience with tales of perseverance and triumph.
The focal point of the event was the unveiling of the JKLU – Anand Kumar’s ‘Super 10 Scholar’ List, drawing parallels with his illustrious Super 30 initiative. Under this pioneering endeavor, 10 exceptional students will be handpicked by the Master Mentor himself and supported by JK Lakshmipat University for their undergraduate studies. These chosen scholars will receive a comprehensive scholarship covering tuition fees and expenses for a 4-year B.Tech program in Computer Science at JKLU, subject to meeting the minimum eligibility criteria and other prerequisites.
The B.Tech programme at JKLU Institute of Engineering and Technology offers an innovative experiential project-based learning approach, with a curriculum crafted in collaboration with the esteemed Olin College of Engineering, Boston, USA. The program encompasses various disciplines including Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, and Computer and Communication Engineering. Students admitted to the B.Tech programme at JKLU also have an opportunity to participate in semester exchange programs at institutions like IIT Kanpur, IIIT Hyderabad, IIT Jodhpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Jammu, IIT Bhilai, IIIT Delhi, BITS Pilani, and IIT Gandhinagar and other renowned international institutions including University of Florida, Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands, Hanyang University, Seoul and St. Cloud State University, USA.
Reflecting on the occasion, Mr. Anand Kumar remarked, “In crafting the ‘Super 10 Scholar’ initiative, we aim to replicate the transformative impact witnessed through the ‘Super 30’ program. Just as ‘Super 30’ has empowered countless underprivileged students to excel in engineering, I believe the ‘Super 10 Scholar’ list will be a beacon of opportunity for these bright young minds. JKLU’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of engineers is commendable, and I’m honored to be part of this initiative that will shape the future of our nation’s technological landscape.”
Kumar also encouraged students to pursue their preparations for admission to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) without succumbing to overwhelming pressure. He emphasized, “While clearing the JEE may not be feasible for everyone, there are always alternative pathways that can help you accomplish your dreams of studying at esteemed institutions like the IITs.” He highlighted the option of institutions like JKLU, which offer semester exchange programs with leading Indian IITs, IIITs, and various international institutions, providing opportunities to build successful careers.
Kumar also encouraged students to approach their studies with passion and determination, emphasizing that success encompasses more than just exam scores; it also requires perseverance and a thirst for knowledge. He also stressed the importance of holistic preparation, urging students to prioritize personal growth alongside academic excellence.
Professor (Dr.) Ashwini Sharma, Director of JKLU, took on the role of master of ceremonies for the occasion, skillfully guiding the proceedings. He was supported by Professor (Dr.) Amit Kumar Sinhal from the Institute of Engineering & Technology, JKLU.
Sakshi Kashyap, a B.Tech. CSE student from the 2020-2024 batch, was also present on the occasion.
