Dr. Hashmi trains Maxillofacial surgeons and PG students at Rama University
Aligarh : Dr. Ghulam Sarwar Hashmi, Chairman, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Z.A. Dental College, Aligarh Muslim University provided hands-on training to the young Maxillofacial surgeons and PG students at Rama Dental College, Rama University, Kanpur during the MAXTRAUM-2024.
The programme was organised by the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Rama Dental College in collaboration with the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of India, UP Chapter.
Prof Hashmi trained the young Maxillofacial surgeons and PG students and also discussed the various technical methods of management of fracture of maxillofacial area by using minipalte fixation, and Lag screw fixation by using Champy’s methods of Osteosynthesis.
Dr. Hashmi described the historical background of KLS Martin system of plating and how this system came to existence by merging 7-8 companies in a single company in 2004.
He also discussed the Lag Screw fixation system of compression osteosynthesis indicated in oblique surface fracture of the mandible and delivered a lecture on “Technical Notes on access incision on face”.
