Ural Federal University: Russian and Chinese Students Collaborate to Translate Contemporary Authors
The Ural Federal University representatives’ visit to China has ended. Rector Victor Koksharov and Vice-Rector for International Relations Sergey Tushin were part of the Ekaterinburg delegation. They met with the university’s long-standing partners and gained support from potential ones.
The cooperation between UrFU and Guangdong University of Foreign Studies has been ongoing for 12 years. During a meeting with the university’s president, Xianbin Yan, they discussed current projects of the Confucius Institute and outlined a new one: translation of stories by contemporary Russian and Chinese authors by students.
An agreement was signed with South China University of Technology in Guangzhou, providing students with more internship opportunities. During another day of the visit, university representatives visited Xi’an Jiaotong University in Xi’an.
