POSTECH and Four Nordic Embassies Wrap Up Successful 13th Nordic Talks Korea Event
The 13th edition of Nordic Talks Korea, co-hosted by Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) and the embassies of four Nordic countries in the Republic of Korea, ended on a positive note on April 22.
This event marked the first time ambassadors from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland gathered outside Seoul to discuss global problem-solving and sustainable societies.
The event was themed around “Social Dialogue Within the Green Transition,” and it featured sessions led by the four Nordic Ambassadors, Dr. Joonsik Park, Group Leader of the Hydrogen and Low-Carbon Energy R&D Lab at POSCO Holdings, and Professor Myunghoon Kang from the Division of Humanities and Social Sciences at POSTECH. They showcased exemplary cases of green hydrogen, steel, and other green transitions on both sides.
A panel discussion moderated by Professor Sung-Min Park, Vice President of External Affairs at POSTECH, included student representative Juseon Kim from the M.S. Course in Chemical Engineering. They freely exchanged views on social acceptance for the green transition, international cooperation, human resources development, and research.
POSTECH aims to build on this event to further expand its international collaboration network across diverse fields, including education, research, and industry, for a sustainable future.
