Winners of Athletics Meet felicitated

ALIGARH : The ABK High School (Girls), Aligarh Muslim University organized a prize distribution ceremony to felicitate the students of the school who have won at several events at the Athletics Meet recently concluded by the AMU Athletics Club.

The chief guest, Prof Qudsia Tahseen, Deputy Director, Directorate of School Education, AMU appreciated the performance of students and congratulated them on their achievements. She urged them to participate in such activities with full sincerity and try to achieve excellence in the events of their choice as they can also chose it as a career in life.

She appreciated the poetic work of Aqleem Aftab, ‘Awakeness in Dreams’, and urged the students to make an imprint in whatever field they chose in their life. She said that the path of success may be long and challenging but with dedication and hard work one can overcome any obstacle and achieve greatness.

Earlier, welcoming the guests, the Vice Principal, Dr. Saba Hasan congratulated the winners and encouraged the participants to keep partaking in sports events.

The Coordinator Dr. Farhat Parveen announced the prizes, while the chief guest, along with the Vice Principal gave away prizes, trophies and certificates to the winners, including Prasanna, Anamta Khan, Khushi Yadav, Saba Naaz, Gungun Gautam, Khadija Khan, Khushboo, Kulsum Parwez, Nadiya Anwar, Ashiqua Parveen, Aysha for their outstanding performance in Javelin throw, Discuss throw, 100 mtr race, 400 mtr race and 1500 mtr race. The individual championship award was given to Khushi Yadav.

The students also got 3rd prize in March Past while an Overall Championship Award in Girls Category was given to the students of ABK High School (Girls).
