University of Birmingham Launches Three New Online Programs
The University of Birmingham has launched three new online programmes, as it continues to meet the growing demand for high-quality web-based study.
Applications are now open for the new programmes:
Running entirely online, the programmes build on the University’s existing web-based portfolio, including the Birmingham Business School’s Online MBA programme, which was recently placed in the Financial Times’ Top 10 online MBA in the world.
I welcome the launch of these programmes which expand the portfolio of online courses at Birmingham. The programmes are learner-centred in their content and design and aim to support learners, regardless of their location, in engaging in rigorous academic study that will support career development and enhance professional practice.

This programme has been developed by researchers from the Education Equity Initiative – led by Professor Chris Millward, who has spent 20 years in the UK Government working on higher education policy.
Professor Millward’s team have a wide and diverse experience in research and practice -collaborating across disciplines to develop this interdisciplinary programme. The team has drawn upon data science and design thinking, as well as education studies, to look at higher education policy and practice from a range of disciplinary lenses and global perspectives.

A teaching and research expert with over 20 years of experience in UK Higher Education, Dr Baiasu also has nine years of experience in Distance Learning and online teaching at the University of Oxford.
