Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony at STS School
Aligarh : The annual prize distribution ceremony at S.T.S. School (Minto Circle), AMU, was recently held to celebrate the academic, co-curricular, and sports achievements of students, honoring their hard work and dedication throughout the 2023–24 session.
Students from classes 6 to 9 who excelled academically were honored with certificates of merit and trophies. The ceremony also highlighted achievements in various competitions, including the Olympiad and the National Spell Bee Competition.
More than 200 students participated in Science Foundation, Silver Zone, and NSTSE Olympiads. Notable performances included: Mayank Choudhary, Gold Medal of Distinction in IMO and NSO, Gold Medal in IOM. Selected for SOF Defence Services Academic Scholarship for 2023–24. Kesari Nandan Gaur, Gold Medal of Distinction in IMO, Gold Medal in NSO, Zonal Silver Medal, and Rs 2500 in the second level of NSO. Sadaat Husain Khan, Zonal Silver Medal and Rs. 2500 in the second level of NSO. Kaif Parwez, State Bronze Medal in Silverzone ITHO. Jatin Kumar Lodhi, State Bronze Medal in Silverzone ITHO, Olympiad topper in Silverzone IOS (Second Level), selected for Silverzone Third Level of IOS to be held in New Delhi on May 26.
In the Spell Bee Competition, Juver Khan and Alfaiz secured first place and a cash prize of Rs 1000 in the Inter School National Spell Bee Competition.
Students who excelled in sports were also recognised with medals and certificates.Yasir Wasim Khan received the Best Athletic Award in the Inter Hall Athletics Meet. S.T.S. school won the Second Prize in the March Past Competition.
In the category of overall winner, House: Topaz House emerged victorious, winning the Winners Running Trophy for the session 2023–24.
The ceremony concluded with a congratulatory address by the Principal, Mr. Faisal Nafis. Emphasising the importance of perseverance and hard work, he remarked that the prize distribution event served as a moment of recognition and inspiration, encouraging all students to strive for greater heights in the future.
Ms. Nasreen Fatma (Cultural Coordinator), Mrs. Samina Yusuf Khan (Primary Incharge), Mr. Mohd Adnan Khan, Mr. Mohammad Asim, and Mr. Farhan Habib coordinated the programme with Mrs. Ghazala Tanvir conducting the proceedings.
