Tsinghua University Conducts Conference on Party Discipline Study and Education Policy Training for 2024

On the afternoon of May 28th, in order to thoroughly implement the deployment of party discipline learning and education, further carry out discipline education in connection with reality, and strengthen supervision and coordination, the 2024 party discipline learning and education policy publicity and training meeting was held in the back hall of the main building. Relevant persons in charge of the Party Committee Organization Department, the Party Committee Propaganda Department, the Party Committee Teacher Work Department (Personnel Department), the Finance Department, the Audit Office and other departments explained and interpreted the relevant party disciplines and regulations and relevant school regulations, and reported on typical problems found in daily work. Zheng Peng, deputy secretary of the school discipline inspection committee and director of the inspection office, presided over the meeting.

Zou Xin, deputy director of the Organization Department of the Party Committee, interpreted the relevant policies on the education and management of party members and cadre management in the school from the aspects of education on party members’ ideals and beliefs, political life within the party, branch construction, party member development and cadres reporting personal matters, part-time jobs outside the school, management of going abroad, and assessment, and reported relevant warning cases. Liu Taoxiong, executive deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee, explained the relevant policies and regulations on ideology and news and public opinion work, and gave educational reminders on common problems based on cases. Yang Diange, director of the Party Committee’s Teacher Work Department and director of the Personnel Department, interpreted the school’s methods for handling teachers’ unethical behavior and the implementation opinions on strengthening the responsibility of the departments’ teachers’ ethics construction, and reported typical cases. Shen Yan, director of the Finance Department, interpreted the school’s methods for handling violations in the use of funds, reported typical problems in the use of funds and several misunderstandings about the use of funds. Hao Yonghong, director of the Audit Office, combined the school’s implementation of relevant policies to establish and improve a long-term mechanism for rectifying problems found in audits, and reported typical problems in the fields of internal control, budget settlement, procurement management, contract management, scientific research management, engineering management, and part-time jobs.

The meeting emphasized that this policy publicity and training meeting is an important part of the school’s party discipline learning and education. All units must improve their political stance and shoulder the political responsibility of comprehensively and strictly governing the party; they must strengthen system learning, promptly convey the policy requirements of this training, and help teachers and students reduce blind spots and misunderstandings of discipline and systems; they must strengthen supervision and inspection of system implementation to provide solid guarantees for promoting the high-quality development of the school.

More than 240 people attended the meeting, including the secretaries or deputy secretaries and disciplinary inspection members of the Party Committees in charge of teaching and staff work of each unit, leaders in charge of financial work, secretaries of the disciplinary committees of second-level units and full-time disciplinary inspection cadres, and relevant leaders and financial managers in charge of personnel and financial work of the school organs and logistics units.
