Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren started the process of providing assistance of one thousand rupees directly through DBT in the bank account of 1,11,568 migrant laborers through the Chief Minister’s Special Assistance Scheme mobile app, at Project building
The Chief Minister said that due to Corona Virus (Covid-19), the laborers of Jharkhand are stranded at various states of the country. From the initial phase of lockdown, the state government had coordinated with the government officials of various states of the country to provide ration and food grains for the stranded migrant laborers. Today, the assistance of Rs. 1000 has been made available to the stranded migrant laborers through the Chief Minister’s Special Assistance Scheme mobile app. He said that about 1,11,568 labourers have been provided assistance of Rs.1000 directly through DBT in their bank account. It is the priority of the government to help every needy financially.
The Chief Minister said that, as of now, 2,47,025 migrant laborers of the state have registered for financial support through Chief Minister Special Assistance Mobile App. So far, various districts of Jharkhand have approved the registration of 2,10,464 laborers. The Chief Minister said that financial assistance will be made available to all the verified beneficiaries soon. He said that under the Internet banking system, the process of checking banks and accounts takes two to three days. The government machinery is carrying out the task of verification. As and when the account verification of the beneficiaries is completed, the amount will be deposited immediately.
The Chief Minister said that it is the goal of the state government to provide financial assistance to all the registered laborers and stranded people of Jharkhand in other states during lockdown under the Chief Minister Special Assistance App Scheme.
The Chief Minister said that the government has also made provision of ration to those families who do not have ration cards. The earlier process of providing ration has been changed. Now the families who do not have ration card will be able to take ration directly from the nearest PDS dealer. Such families or people will no longer need to go elsewhere to get ration. The nearest dealers will provide ration by personally identifying such families, which will be convenient for them.
The Chief Minister said that some irregularities and complaints have come to lightthrough many hon’ble MLAs, public representatives and media of the state regarding Chief Minister Didi Kitchen, Grain Distribution system etc. The government is taking cognizance of all these irregularities and complaints.
The Chief Minister said that for the social security of the people, the state government is carrying out the work of providing emergency relief material since the initial phase of Covid-19. In order to ensure that no one in the state goes hungry, the state government is working to provide food to the people under various schemes during lockdown.
The Chief Minister expressed gratitude on the donation of Rs. 8 crore 30 lakh 15 thousand by the State Police Officers and personnel to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and Rs. 51 thousand by the Dentist Tutor of RIMS, Ranchi to fight against the Corona Virus.
On this occasion, Shri Rameshwar Oraon, Minister, Shri Satyanand Bhokta, Minister, Shri Champai Soren, Minister, Shri Banna Gupta, Minister, Shri Sukhdev Singh, Chief Secretary, Shri Arun Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary , Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Rajiv Arun Ekka, Shri AP Singh, Principal Secretary, Shri Vinay Choubey, Secretary, Shri Rajiv Lochan Bakshi, Director, Information and Public Relations Department, Press Advisor to Chief Minister Shri Abhishek Prasad, Senior Personal Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Sunil Srivastava and other officials and employees of the state government were present.
