Governor Bandaru Dattatraya has extended greetings to the people of the State on the occasion of Akshaya-Tritiya festival 

In his message, the Governor said that the festival was a symbol of hope, prosperity, joy and success. He said that people were celebrating the festival by staying in their homes due to the crisis of corona pandemic and hoped that ‘Akshaya’would be our strength in fighting this pandemic.

Shri Dattatraya said that today also marks the birth anniversary of a great philosopher and social reformer Lord Basaveshwara. He said that we must follow his teachings and pledge to follow the path shown by him.

In his response after “Mann Ki Baat” program of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today, the Governor said that the PM in his inspirational message has instilled confidence among the countrymen in fighting the COVID-19 and lauded their contribution in fighting against this challenge. He said that as per the PM’s hope, Himachalis were also marching together in a right direction against the pandemic.

“It is the beginning of new changes and by changing our habits, we will definitely emerge from this crisis soon”, said the Governor.
