IIM Bangalore’s CCGC to host former SEBI Chairman for a discussion on Value Creation through Corporate Governance
Bengaluru: The Centre for Corporate Governance and Citizenship (CCGC) at Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), as part of its Leaderspeak Series, will host an ideating discussion on ‘Value Creation through Corporate Governance’ with G.N. Bajpai, former Chairman of SEBI on Monday, July 31, 2017, at 5.30 pm at Management Development Centre (MDC), IIMB Campus.
G.N. Bajpai, who is the former Chairman of SEBI, as well as former Chairman of Life Insurance Corporation of India, is the recipient of the Prime Minister’s award for ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Development of Finance’ and is on the board of several corporations. G. N. Bajpai’ s new book, ‘The Essential Book of Corporate Governance’, provides a trajectory of Corporate Governance in India, having an extraordinary sweep of history, philosophy, pedagogy and simple common sense to help maximise wealth creation, will also be introduced to the participants on that day.
The other participants of the talk will be Shekar Viswanathan, Vice Chairman of Toyota Kirloskar, who has been with the Toyota project in India since inception and Professor G. Ramesh from the Centre for Public Policy (CPP) at IIM Bangalore, and former member of the Indian Economic Service.
