SEAMO conducts First Olympiad in India on 6th August 2017

New Delhi:Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad (SEAMO) is a unique platform dedicated to provide resources for students of various levels to hone their problem-solving skills and prepare them for more challenging mathematical competitions.
The test date for SEAMO in India is 6th August, 2017.
SEAMO will provide Indian students an opportunity to identify and discover their mathematical talents through creative challenges and gain National as well as International rankings.
Before India SEAMO has already marked its presence in across 11 Asian countries named Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Jakarta, Brunei, Timor-Leste and Philippines,SEAMO will now provide Indian students an opportunity to identify and discover their mathematical talents through creative challenges.
Students from Class V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI & XII are eligible for this prestigiousOlympiad. The duration of the exam is 2 hours and entails Multiple Choice Questions in Mathematics.
SEAMO offer numerous benefits to the participating students. Firstly, participating students will be provided with a National and International Ranking. Secondly, since the question paper will be prepared at the same time for India as well as for other countries, the level of difficulty of both exams will remain same. Therefore, this Olympiad will set a clear benchmark for Indian students’ performance as it will be compared with international students.
More importantly, top 0.025% of participating students will win a Gold Plated Medal & a Certificate of Participation, the next 1% will get a Silver Plated Medal & a Certificate of Participation and the next 2% will get a Bronze Plated Medal & a Certificate of Participation. All remaining participating students will be presented with a Certificate of Participation.

The Registration Fee for Class V to IX students is Rs. 1150 (including GST) and for Class X, XI & XII students is Rs. 1300 (including GST).
