AMU Professor delivers plenary talk at CIIL, Mysuru

ALIGARH : Prof. T.N. Satheesan, a Professor of Malayalam from the Department of Modern Indian Languages, Aligarh Muslim University delivered a plenary talk at the national conference on “Classical Languages of India” organized by the Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), Mysuru. The session was chaired by Prof. N.M. Talwar.

Speaking on the “Development of Classical Malayalam: Issues and Innovations,” Prof Satheesan spoke underscored the significance of recognizing Malayalam as a classical language, a milestone in preserving and celebrating its extensive literary and cultural heritage.

He said that the designation of Malayalam as a classical language represents a pivotal achievement in the effort to preserve and celebrate its profound literary and cultural legacy.

He elaborated on several strategic initiatives and innovative methodologies necessary for the revitalization of Classical Malayalam.
