Bharti Airtel Foundation and State Education Mission Authority of Meghalaya-Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan jointly launch Teaching-Learning Resource Book for the School Teachers
Bharti Airtel Foundation, in collaboration with State Education Mission Authority of Meghalaya (Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan), recently launched ‘Teacher Learning Resource Book’. The book was officially unveiled by Shri. Swapnil Tembe, IAS, State Project Director of Samagra Shiksha and Director of School Education & Literacy in Meghalaya, and Ms. Mamta Saikia, Chief Executive Officer of Bharti Airtel Foundation. This resource book comprises of creative and effective teaching aids on different themes, designed by teachers from partner government schools as part of Bharti Airtel Foundation’s Quality Support Program (QSP).
The book, designed by the teachers and for the teachers, aims to enhance children’s academic understanding and skill development. The Teaching-Learning Materials (TLMs), stemming from daily classroom experiences, offer simple and innovative solutions to facilitate enjoyable and effective learning for the students. At the ceremony, Shri. Swapnil Tembe (State Project Director Samagra Shiksha and Director of School Education & Literacy, Meghalaya), honored the teachers who won Educational Rockstar Achievers’ Awards for their successful contribution towards designing effective and engaging teaching aid. He also felicitated four students from QSP partner schools who brought laurels to the State of Meghalaya by winning National Level Competitions in (YUVIKA- Young Scientist Programme by ISRO and TickLinks- – Young Explorer Contest).

Director of School Education & Literacy, Elementary Education, Meghalaya), Ms. Mary Lynrah (State Pedagogy Coordinator, Samagra Shiksha and Directorate of School Education & Literacy, Meghalaya), Shri. Raju Rizzal (Sub Divisional School Education Officer Ri-Bhoi & Block Mission Coordinator, Jirang Block, Ri-Bhoi District), Smt. Elika Synrem (Block Mission Coordinator, Bhoirymbong Block, Ri-Bhoi District), Shri. Lumlang Nongsiej (Block Mission Coordinator, Umsning Block, Ri-Bhoi District) & Shri. Pankaj P. Yadav (Block Mission Coordinator, Umling Block, Ri-Bhoi District.
The Foundation is actively involved in 45 Government Schools in Meghalaya, supporting 512 teachers and 12,938 students in the Ri-Bhoi District under QSP. The program engages the school leadership, teachers, students and communities to enhance the overall schooling experience and to aim for excellence. Presently, over 800 Government Schools in 12 states/UTs across India are benefiting from this program, impacting more than 300,000 students nationwide (*data as of March 2024).
