Prof M J Warsi delivers a lecture at Amity University
ALIGARH : Prof. M J Warsi, Chairman, Department of Linguistics, Aligarh Muslim University delivered a lecture on Language Pedagogy: New Directions and Emerging Trends, in a 5-Day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) which was organized on “A Multifaceted Approach to Language Pedagogy” by the Amity Institute of English Studies and Research (AIESR), Amity University.
In his lecture, Prof Warsi stated that effective language teaching requires a diverse array of methods to engage learners and facilitate comprehension, and through the implementation of a diverse pedagogical strategy, instructors can establish engaging and pleasant learning environments that support language competency and fluency.
He pointed out that the communicative approach to language teaching has achieved a great deal of attention and popularity in recent times and the language teaching methodologies have drastically changed as a result of linguistic theories, which have greatly influenced 21st century classroom procedures and methods from classical grammar to functionalism.
