HKUST and Tsinghua PBC School of Finance Partner for New Educational Program
The School of Business and Management of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST Business School) and Tsinghua University PBC School of Finance signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to deepen collaboration, including launching a bilingual Doctor of Business Administration program, fostering exchange opportunities for students and faculty, and exploring the development of non-degree executive programs that leverage the strengths of both sides.
Under this partnership, both schools will utilize their respective strengths to foster cooperation in academic exchange, research, and education and training, and carry out other strategic cooperations.
HKUST President Prof. Nancy IP, HKUST Vice-President for Administration and Business Prof. TAM Kar-Yan, Dean of Tsinghua University PBC School of Finance Prof. JIAO Jie, Acting Dean of HKUST Business School Prof. HUI Kai-Lung, and other representatives from both universities attended the MOU signing ceremony.
Acting Dean of HKUST Business School Prof. HUI Kai-Lung said, “As the economic landscape undergoes rapid development, driven by technological disruption and other geopolitical factors, this collaboration between our two schools will usher in exciting new possibilities for the economy and society. These collaborative efforts will allow the participating students and faculty to engage with practices in an international financial center and mainland China’s fast-developing economic prowess. We’re thrilled to co-develop our first set of programs, including a new Doctor of Business Administration degree. Looking ahead, we’re hopeful that our partnership can be further strengthened, allowing us to host more academic exchange, nurture talents, and drive industry innovations.”
