Ural Federal University: Russian Federation Recognizes Sergey Knyazev with Prestigious Higher Education Award
Sergey Knyazev, Director of Academic Activities of UrFU, was awarded the title “Honored Worker of Higher Education of the Russian Federation”. The state award was given for his merits in scientific and pedagogical activities, training of highly qualified specialists, and many years of conscientious work. The Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Evgeny Kuivashev attended the award ceremony.
“This year, when our region celebrated its 90th anniversary, it is especially gratifying to see how highly the work of the people whose achievements write its glorious history is appreciated. Smart, talented, determined, and generous of heart, the Urals have always been, are, and will always be the main wealth of the Sverdlovsk Region, a powerful creative force on the way to its prosperity. These people gathered in this hall today,” Evgeny Kuivashev greeted the honorees.
At the ceremony, awards were presented to outstanding scientists, doctors, lawyers, power engineers, railroad workers, and employees of industrial enterprises. A total of 39 Sverdlovsk residents were awarded for their professional achievements.
