UrFU Researchers Lead Ural Federal District’s Presence at National Young Scientists Congress
Ural Federal University’s experts took part in the 12th Congress of Councils of Young Scientists and Student Scientific Societies held at the Far Eastern Federal University last week. Daria Telepaeva, Associate Professor of the Department of Sociology and Public and Municipal Administration Technologies, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of UrFU, and Yuri Marchenko, Lecturer of the Department of Turbines and Engines of UrFU, attended discussions, interactive lectures, trainings, master classes and other activities of the forum. The participation of UrFU employees in the forum was financially supported by the Priority-2030 program (Scientific Academic Mobility project).
“During the congress, it was possible to establish connections at the level of the Council of Young Scientists and the Student Scientific Society of UrFU with leading Russian universities. Also, scientists from the UrFU discussed key problems in the development of scientific communities and developed several proposals to implement measures for the development of councils of young scientists and student scientific societies in the regions,” says Yury Marchenko.
The key goal of the congress was to involve young scientists in the current scientific agenda set by the updated strategy of scientific and technological development of Russia. The main tasks that the participants faced in the framework of joint events were to identify current problems in the realization of youth science and to develop proposals for their solutions in their regions.
“The Congress traditionally gathers representatives from all federal districts of our country, and the Ural Federal District is no exception. This year the Urals delegation was represented by more than 60 young scientists and students from the Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen, and Kurgan regions, as well as representatives of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug”, says Daria Telepaeva.
It should be noted that the 12th All-Russian Congress of Councils of Young Scientists and Student Scientific Societies united about 1000 young researchers from more than 80 regions of Russia and foreign countries (China, Algeria, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Belarus, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan).
