UrFU’s Gulnara Murzakhmedova Appointed as Ambassador for Russian Education and Science
Gulnara Murzakhmedova, a graduate of Ural State University (now UrFU), was awarded the honorary title “Ambassador of Russian Education and Science”. The corresponding decision was made by the Council of the Consortium of Educational and Scientific Organizations for the implementation of the “Ambassadors of Russian Education and Science” program.
In total, this honorary title was awarded to 13 candidates who are citizens of Burkina Faso, Vietnam, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Mali, Mozambique, Mongolia, the Republic of Guinea, Sri Lanka, and Ecuador. The award ceremony for the selected candidates will be held on November 27-28 at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
Gulnara Murzakhmedova graduated from the university in 1985 with a Russian language and literature degree. Today she is a doctor of philological sciences, a professor, and a member of the Association of Graduates of UPI, UrSU, and UrFU in the Kyrgyz Republic. She worked as a teacher of Russian language and literature at the Pedagogical Institute of Russian Language and Literature and the Department of Literature of the Peoples of the USSR at the 50th Anniversary of October Kyrgyz State University. From 1998 to 1999, she headed the press service of the President of Kyrgyzstan, then worked as Vice President of the television and KOORT radio company. Since 2017, she has held the position of Vice-Rector for Science at Bishkek State University named after K. Karasaev.
