Lecture held on SURE programme

ALIGARH  : Prof Asiya Chaudhary, Department of Commerce, Aligarh Muslim University delivered a lecture at the Centre for Continuing and Adult Education and Extension (CCAEE), AMU with special focus on the schemes and programmes promoted under the Stimulating Urban Renewal through Entrepreneurship (SURE) programme.

She highlighted the ways and means for becoming a businessman or business woman and discussed how to launch a new startup, how to name a product and how to register on GEM portal.

She urged the young men and women of society to take interest in entrepreneurship as it provides wide prospects for employment, and the small enterprises are the only sector that generates a large portion of total employment in our country every year.

She also highlighted the social and economic benefits of the entrepreneurship and urged the participants to join the 10-week long SURE workshop, which is scheduled to be organized by the Department of Commerce, AMU, in collaboration with the University of Houston, USA, from August 12, 2024.

Dr Shamim Akhtar, Director, CCAEE extended a vote of thanks and urged the learners and other stakeholders to create awareness about SURE workshop in their localities and among their family members and friends.
