ALIGARH : Prof Shahid Ali, Department of Mathematics, Aligarh Muslim University has been appointed Chairman of his department for a period from August 10, 2024 to July 14, 2025, the date of his superannuation.

Prof Ali is engaged in teaching and research for more than 35 years. He has published 25 research papers in journals of national and international repute and participated and presented papers at more than 20 national and international conferences and seminars.

The areas of his teaching and research interest include Differential Geometry, CR-submanifolds, Submersions, Tensors, Relativity and Calculus.
