University of Warwick Appoints Kate Walewska as New Director of Marketing and Student Recruitment
The University of Warwick is delighted to announce the appointment of Kate Walewska as the new Director of Marketing and Student Recruitment.
With over 20 years of experience in the education sector, Kate brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in global student recruitment, marketing, admissions, partnerships, and business development.
Her career has spanned Coventry University, QA Higher Education, and most recently, the University of Leicester, where she served as the Director of the Future Students Office.
Kate expressed her excitement about joining Warwick, saying: “I feel incredibly privileged to have been given the opportunity to represent one of the most prestigious brands in the higher education sector globally. It is an honour, and responsibility, I don’t take lightly.”
At Leicester, Kate played a pivotal role in transforming the University’s approach to student recruitment. She was integral to the formation of the Future Students Office in autumn 2017, helping to achieve ambitious growth targets across all areas.
Kate’s holistic, customer-focused, and metrics-driven approach has consistently resulted in increased student numbers and successful development of marketing and recruitment plans.
Kate’s experience includes new market and product development, lead generation and conversion to enrolment, as well as diversification of recruitment channels and product portfolios across markets.
As Warwick prepares to celebrate its 60th anniversary, Kate is enthusiastic about the opportunities the next decade will bring. She acknowledges the challenges facing the higher education sector but remains confident in Warwick’s ability to excel and innovate.
