Poster Making & Slogan Writing Competitions on Anti-Ragging Held at AMU

Aligarh :  The Department of Economics, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), organized Poster Making and Slogan Writing Competitions as part of Anti-Ragging Week, aligning with the national campaign ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan’. The Prize Distribution Ceremony for these events also took place at the Department of Economics.

In the Poster Making Competition, the first prize was awarded to Areeba Aqeel (BA 3rd Semester, Economics), with the second prize going to Neha Qadeer (MA 3rd Semester, Economics). The third prize was jointly secured by Ch SD Qudaratullah Soheel (MA 3rd Semester, Economics) and Fareha Nasim (MA 3rd Semester, Economics).

For the Slogan Writing Competition, Neha Qadeer (MA 3rd Semester, Economics) won first place, followed by Syed Rahman (BA 5th Semester, Economics) and Md Amaan Fraz (BA 5th Semester, Economics), who claimed the second and third prizes, respectively.

Prof. Nisar Ahmad Khan (Former Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, AMU), along with faculty members Prof. Shehroz Alam Rizvi (Chairman), Prof. S.M. Jawed Akhtar, Prof. Mohammad Asif, Prof. Md. Tarique, and Prof. Mohd. Azam Khan, presented the prizes and certificates.

Prof. Rizvi emphasized the importance of anti-ragging campaigns in promoting a safe and meaningful academic environment, urging students to engage in positive interactions with their peers and seniors.

The program was convened by Prof. Shehroz Alam Rizvi, with Dr. Shirin Rais serving as Co-Convener.
