AMU faculty delivers lecture on “Hypothesis Testing” at BHU

Aligarh : Prof. Md. Tarique from the Department of Economics, AMU, delivered a lecture on “Hypothesis Testing” at the ICSSR Capacity Building Programme on “Research Methodology and Data Analysis in Social Sciences” held at BHU, Varanasi, recently.  He discussed the sources, functions, and characteristics of hypothesis testing, explaining significance levels, Type I and Type II errors, and the difference between one-tailed and two-tailed tests.

Prof. Tarique also elaborated on key statistical tests, including the Z-test, t-test, and Chi-square test, to young faculty members.
