Cottage training programme organized for home science students
ALIGARH : The Department of Home Science, Aligarh Muslim University organized a 6-day cottage training programme to educate the students of first semester students of family and community resource management about the relevance of ‘home making skills’ in the areas of food and nutrition, resource management, communication, budgeting, interior decoration, textile designing, etc.
Welcoming the participants, Dr. Saba Khan, Chairperson, Department of Home Science urged them to focus on learning home-making skills which will help them develop their employability prospects.
She appreciated the efforts of students and the resource persons, including Dr. Reshma Jamal (Department of Psychology), Dr. Nazish Begum (Hindi Section, Women’s College), Dr. Farah Saif (History Section, Women’s College), Dr. Hina Parveen (Centre for Professional Courses), Dr. Nagma Azhar (Department of Commerce) and Dr. Iram Arman (Department of Chemical Engineering).
Dr. Zeba supervised the organization of the programme.
