Prof. Madhav Rao of IIIT-Bangalore Honoured with the Prestigious
Prof. Satish Dhawan Young Engineers State Award in the field of Engineering Sciences for the year 2023
Bengaluru : Prof. Madhav Rao, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT-B) has been conferred with the esteemed Prof. Satish Dhawan Young Engineers State Award in the field of Engineering Sciences for the year 2023. This prestigious award, instituted by the Government of Karnataka, recognizes outstanding contributions in the field of Engineering Sciences.
The honour was bestowed upon Prof. Madhav Rao by Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri Siddaramaiah, at a ceremony held at J.N. Tata Auditorium, Indian Institute of Science Campus, Bengaluru on September 26, 2024. Distinguished guests, including Prof. C.N.R. Rao, Bharat Ratna, Shri N. S. Boseraju, Hon’ble Minister for Minor Irrigation, Science and Technology, Government of Karnataka, and Dr. Ekroop Caur (IAS), Secretary, Department of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology, and Science & Technology (E, IT, BT and S&T), Government of Karnataka, graced the occasion.
